Doughblaster Breads is a licensed & insured artisan micro bakery located in Chelmsford, MA. The owner, Joy Sheasby, is a culinary school graduate with Serve Safe & Allergy certifications, as well as over 25 years of experience working as a bread and pastry baker in local bakeries, restaurants, and cafes.
After graduating from culinary school in 2002, where I learned classic French cooking and baking techniques, I continued to hone my skills in bakeries and by experimenting in my own kitchen.
Over the years, I’ve continued to enhance my bread by seeking out & acquiring local ingredients, especially organic grains from farmers in New England and New York. Local honey, maple syrup, produce, and even beer from the many microbreweries in my area, are some of the ingredients that I use when making my bread and other baked treats. Knowing where my ingredients come from is an important component in my bread making process and I feel good about supporting other small business & organic grain farmers.
And although I specialize in whole grain artisan bread, I do make rich breads, quick breads, and other baked treats which I hope you will try when you are craving something sweet.
